CHK Power Quality was proud to participate in AusRail Plus 2025, held from 25–28 November 2025 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre in Melbourne, Australia  the largest rail industry event in the Asia-Pacific region.

The turnout at our booth was excellent throughout the event, with significant engagement from a wide line-up of customers and industry peers. We had meaningful conversations with asset managers, engineers, system integrators, and decision makers exchanging insights on current challenges and discussing how real-time monitoring can improve operational performance.

Validating BESS Dynamic Performance with the Miro PQ45 Class A Power Quality Analyser

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are becoming an essential part of modern power networks, supporting renewable integration, frequency regulation and voltage stability. During commissioning, verifying the dynamic performance of a BESS is critical to ensure the system responds correctly to changing network conditions and meets project and utility requirements.

The CHK Power Quality Miro PQ45 Class A Power Quality Analyser provides engineers with a powerful tool for commissioning and performance validation. Its high resolution Multi Parameter Capture records voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor and frequency at one cycle resolution, allowing fast electrical events to be captured and analysed with precision.

During commissioning, the PQ45 can be configured to trigger on frequency deviations, ROCOF, voltage dips, swells and user defined voltage or frequency thresholds. This enables commissioning engineers to verify BESS response times, observe system behaviour during contingency events and confirm compliance with network performance requirements.

Using Citrus Software, engineers can review captured events, measure response and recovery times, analyse system performance and generate detailed engineering reports.
